The Journal Contemporary and Applied Mathematics (ISSN 2222-5498, E-ISSN 3006-3183) adhere to the principles of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and follow the COPE Code of Conduct and Best Practice Guidelines for Journal Editors and the Code of Conduct for Journal Publishers. The journal also follows recommendations contained in A Guide for Editors-in-Chief, Associate Editors, and Managing Editors. The journal and the publisher expect that authors, peer reviewers, and editors follow the best ethical behaviour practices contained therein. The most important points are presented below, but it is advisable to refer to the original documents above.
The Journal of Contemporary Applied Mathematics aims to share new and innovative research ideas and developments in the field of mathematics. The journal publishes original research papers and survey articles covering all areas of mathematics, with special attention given to mathematical analysis, ordinary differential equations, partial differential equations, mathematical physics, functional analysis, and probability theory.
Significant and useful advances of the current state of knowledge are an essential factor and it is important that papers are presented in a manner that will be appreciated by mathematicians. Papers not previously published elsewhere will be accepted and emphasis will be placed upon the originality of concepts and execution. Once a paper is accepted for publication in JCAM the author is assumed to have transferred the copyright to Serials Publications.
All papers are refereed through a double-blind process. Articles for consideration are to be communicated to the managing editor through e-mail: rakibaz@yahoo.com. Manuscripts should be written in English.
It is preferred that manuscripts be prepared using TeX or one of its variants LaTeX, AMSTeX, or AMS-LaTeX. For submissions, attached LaTeX le excluding authors names and postal addresses are preferred. On a separate sheet, authors should provide (i) Title of the paper and (ii) Authors names and postal addresses. Authors should make sure that the manuscript is in its final form and that all necessary corrections to the submitted le(s) have been made. Each paper should contain an abstract of no more than 150 words followed by the keywords. To facilitate keywords searching and indexing, all manuscripts shall contain AMS 2010 subject classification information and keywords. References to the published literature should be cited in the text by numbers in square brackets. Full references should appear in numerical order of appearance. Journal references should be arranged as given below:
[1] V. Kokilashvili, S. Samko. Singular Integrals in Weighted Lebesgue Spaces with variable exponent. Georgian Math. J., 10(1): 145-156, 2003.
Book references should be given as follows:
[2] I.I. Danilyuk. Nonregular boundary value problems on a plane. M.: Nauka, 1975, Russian.
The Journal has published two issues per year. In order to achieve speedy publication of research articles, we request all our referees to report within 1 month (usually a decision will be communicated to the author within 1 month of submission, and the editorial board is committed to rendering a decision within 3 months in all cases.)
All our readers and authors take advantage of free open access. We believe this provides immediate open access to its content, following the principle that by making scientific research open to the public, we contribute to a wider global exchange of knowledge. Since we do not charge for open access, the cost of publishing, including the costs of reviewing, publishing journals and online hosting and archiving, is offset by charging article processing fees. The processing fee for this journal is 400 USD per article. The responsible author must pay this amount after receiving an official letter of acceptance of the article for publication.
Additional sets of reprints may be ordered at the time of proof correction Subscription inquiries and subscriptions orders should be addressed to the Editorial Office: Baku Engineering University, Khirdalan city, Hasan Aliyev str., 120 AZ0101, Absheron, Azerbaijan.
The Journal of Contemporary Applied Mathematics is published by the Department of Mathematics of the Baku Engineering University. Founded in 2011 by Rakib Efendiev of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan, Institute of Mathematics and Mechanics, Baku, the journal was transferred in 2019 to the Department of Mathematics of the Baku Engineering University.
